Worship Teams (Volunteer Opportunities)

Our Greeters warmly welcome all who come to worship. Greeters provide that first important contact to all who enter for worship. Greeters also direct worshipers and especially guests and answer questions that they might have.

Please call the church office or email Stacy Bader stacy.bader@drlc.org for more information on how to get involved as a Greeter.

Our usher teams assist in worship by handing out bulletins, directing worshipers and helping them find seating, in collecting offerings, as well as help in the direction of communion. We welcome people of all ages and gender to be ushers. Consider signing up to usher as a family. Smiling faces are always needed!

Please call the church office or email Gene Borchardt at geneborchardt@yahoo.com for more information on how to get involved as an Usher.

Our pastoral assistants assist the pastors where needed. Often this is during the distribution of the Lord’s Supper and during baptisms as needed. They will also assist the ushers as needed and oversee the worship service logistics.

Please call the church office or email Gene Borchardt at geneborchardt@yahoo.com for more information on how to get involved with assisting our pastors.

The AV team is made up of individuals who operate the sound, powerpoints and other audiovisual equipment during worship services. A good ear and basic familiarity with computers and e-mail is needed, but training is provided.

Team members are scheduled one service every 2-3 weeks, usually at the services you prefer to attend. Serving in this way at worship services is a vital task that supports our ministry in a very important way.

Please call the church office or email Stacy Bader stacy.bader@drlc.org for more information on how to get involved as an A/V team member.

Acolytes serve during worship services by lighting and extinguishing the candles in the front of the worship area. Serving as an acolyte is an important task provided by our seventh and eighth grade confirmation students.

Please email Ann Marie Hahn at annmarie.hahn@drlc.org for more information and training.

Keeper's of God's House

Altar Guild members make the sanctuary ready for worship by preparing the communion ware when Holy Communion is served in a worship service. The Altar Guild decorates the church for special holidays, like Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. They also provide other special functions like filling the candles, managing a flower schedule for the altar flowers, and cleaning the pastors’ and acolytes’ robes.

Please call the church office or email Stacy Bader stacy.bader@drlc.org for more information on how to get involved in the Altar Guild.

Volunteers set out coffee and snacks between services. Stop by to enjoy fellowship and a hot cup of coffee.

Please call the church office or email Stacy Bader stacy.bader@drlc.org for more information on how to get involved with Fellowship Time.
