Divine Redeemer’s 40th Anniversary: Divine Redeemer will be celebrating its 40th Anniversary in 2012. If you would like to be part of the 40th Anniversary Committee, please join us for a meeting on February 16th at 4pm in the Fellowship Hall or you may contact Doris Egan at 262-367-8400.
Thunder Football: We had another successful season with 86 players and four teams. For the first time in program history, both of our 7th & 8th grade teams went undefeated on the season! Plans are under way for next season. Registration deadline is Jan. 31st. Reg. forms available at lakecountryhs.org.
Christian Athletic Scholarship Applications are now available! Divine Redeemer’s Christian Scholarship Foundation will award three $2,000 and one $5,000 scholarship to deserving Waukesha County High School seniors to be presented at the 22nd Annual Christian Athletic Scholarship Banquet on Sunday, April 29 at the Country Springs Hotel & Conference Center. Applications are available in the church office or CLICK HERE. Application Deadline is 4/1.
Youth Aluminum Can Collection Fundraiser: Bring in your sacks of aluminum cans between 8am-11am every Saturday in February and help the DR Summer Youth earn money for their Mission trip! Youth and parents will be collecting cans outside the kitchen door. The Youth will earn .60 a pound toward their North Carolina Summer Mission Trip. Contact DCE Andy Kroemer at andrew.kroemer@drlc.org if you need them to be picked up from your home.
High School Mission Trip Fundraiser: The HS youth are selling Marcus Theater movie tickets for $8 each to be used at Marcus theaters at any time. With every two VIP Platinum tickets purchased you will receive one free snack cash voucher worth $3. 15% of each ticket will benefit our youth/adults going on the mission trip. Tickets are in and available for purchase today! Make checks payable to Divine Redeemer.
Small Group Study: If you are planning to study the John Ortberg book, "The Me I Want To Be" in a small group of friends at your home, please let Richard (262-367-2841), George (262-369-0618), or Ann (262-354-3540) know, so they may give you the materials you will need. Thank you.
Lake Country Caring will be closed between December 22 and the month of January. During this time, PLEASE take your donations to your next favorite charity. We will continue to accept GENTLY USED winter clothing and boots for the SOS Center. (Place donations in the bin in the hallway by the Book Store.)

Nursery Positions Available: We are looking for people to staff the nursery during the Sunday morning services. Shifts are 8:45-10:15 and 10:15-11:45. These positions will be paid. Please contact Karen.lippert@drlc.org if you are interested.
Serving the Lord: There are sign-up sheets on the bulletin boards with opportunities for you to volunteer for the gym set-up, tending the gardens, Altar Guild, and cutting the grass. Please consider serving the Lord in one of these areas. Many of the opportunities can be done with your family. Gym set-up, cutting the grass and Altar Guild are scheduled on a rotating basis once a month and tending the gardens can be done at your convenience. Prayerfully consider helping in one of these areas. Thank you.
Weekly Prayer Requests: Each week, prayer requests can be submitted to Gail Arnold in the church office at 367-8400 or gail.arnold@drlc.org. or you may fill out a prayer request card which may be found in the church pews or on the cafeteria bulletin board. Special prayer requests will be listed in Spread the Word for two weeks; please call the church office and renew the prayer if needed, for more time. If you or someone you know will be in the hospital or if you have a family member serving in the Military, please submit their name(s) so we may add them to our prayer list.
