Annual Food Drive: We are now collecting frozen turkeys, grocery store gift certificates, non-perishable food times and laundry baskets for our annual food drive. (Cash donations will be accepted as well. Checks should be made payable to DRLC and write Food Drive in the memo line). You may drop off your donations in the bins located in the School lobby or to the church office.
Voters’ Meeting: Mark your calendars for the Voters’ Meeting on Sunday, December 7th at 11:45am in the Media Center. Items to be addressed will be the 2009 budget and voting for the 3 open board positions. Please plan on attending this meeting.
Military Care Packages: The Seniors group at DRLC is sponsoring this wonderful program so we can send food, toiletries, games, books, toys, letters and many other items to our troops in Iraq. Hunzinger Construction Company is graciously covering the cost of shipment. A complete list of all items needed can be found on the bulletin boards or from Pastor Huff. Donations may be dropped off in the collection box or in Pastor Huff’s office. Help support our troops and let them know we care and that we are thankful for them. For more info call Carol Eggert at 560-1091 or email caroleggert@wi.rr.com.
Adopt an Angel Trees: This year Divine Redeemer families have the opportunity to share the joy of Christmas with inner city children involved in the Gifts of Love Program. The “Angels” are made by Dayton Duehr and decorated by students from Divine Redeemer Lutheran School. Pick up an angel from one of the Christmas trees located in either the Fellowship Hall or Cafeteria. Simply take the angel off the tree, shop, return the wrapped package with the angel securely attached no later than Sunday, December 14th. What a wonderful way to show our love, care and concern for those children as we celebrate the gift of the newborn Savior.

Help Decorate the Church & Gym for Christmas: We will start decorating the church Friday December 5th and Saturday December 6th. Men are needed to put up the trees Friday or Saturday. We will decorate the trees and the remainder of the church Saturday morning starting at 8:00 a.m. In the gym we would like to have one family decorate one tree. For example if we have five trees than we would need five families. Please contact Doris Egan at 367-8400 ext. 101 or e-mail dorise@drlc.org and sign up for a time that you are available.
Donate a dish to pass: In appreciation to our choirs and orchestra members, we will be serving a light dinner for all who are participating in the concert on Sunday, December 14th between the two performances. If you would like to donate food for this dinner, please contact Doris Egan at 262-367-8400, ext. 101 or dorise@drlc.org, or sign up on the sheets posted in the Narthex and cafeteria. Thank you!
