Operation Christmas Child 2008:  Join us on Saturday November 22, 2008 from 10am-3pm for our annual "Shoe Box Collection Day 2008" and help us pack the shoe boxes from area churches in preparation for their journey overseas. Food/refreshments will be served throughout the day. “Called By Him” will perform from 11-1pm and “A Company of Kids” Dance Group will perform from 1-3pm. Bring the whole family.  Shoeboxes are available for you to pick up.  You may donate bulk items if you wish.  Boxes to place donations of bulk items are located in the back of the gym. Birthday Party for Jesus:  December 6th, from 10:00am-noon for children ages 1-10 accompanied by a parent.  This is a great opportunity for you to invite your friends and come celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Gifts of Love Dinner:  Please join us as we host a dinner for 150 urban youth on Tuesday, December 16th for our 1st Annual Gifts of Love Christmas Party.  Reservations are required for this dinner and can be made by calling Doris Egan at 367-8400, ext. 101.

Shanty Town:  Our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will be sleeping outside in tents the day after Thanksgiving: Friday, Nov. 28th, from 7pm until 7am on Saturday, Nov. 29th. This is an opportunity for our Confirmation Students to raise funds to help support the Feed My Starving Children food packaging event we are having in January.  We will also be wrapping Christmas gifts for the Gifts of Love program for children in Milwaukee.  For more info check out November’s Lifelines or contact Pastor Huff at steverhuff@aol.com.

9th Annual Men’s Retreat at the Holiday Inn in Manitowoc.  January 16-18, 2009.  This year we’ll discuss the book FIGHT by Kenny Luck.   Registration brochures are available in the church office and at the Visitor’s Centers. Cost before Nov. 30th is:  $140-Dbl occupancy or $200-Single occupancy; after Nov. 30th the price is:  $180 and $240 respectively.  Jeff Lippert, along with “Men of the Cross”, will lead the Worship at the retreat.  Bring your friends and get ready for a spiritually uplifting weekend!

Milwaukee Bucks Game: On January 24th, you and your family are invited to join our Confirmation Junior Leaguers watch the Milwaukee Bucks take on the Sacramento Kings.  Our host again this year will be Mr. Jon McGlocklin.  During the pre-game, twenty of our young people will be allowed to go courtside as the Courtside Kids and watch the Bucks warm up.  Twenty more students will be chosen to give high-fives to the players as they take the court.   In addition to all that, everyone will receive a Bucks replica jersey for being part of the DR contingent.
