See what men are saying about Men’s Ministry

† “What a great opportunity to fellowship with men up north on a lake catching fish. It is a great opportunity to share with friends about the relationship you have with God and the joy of helping others share as well. God is great!”
Mark Rummler

† “I resisted all attempts by others to encourage me to become involved in men’s ministry “activities”. Then came the first annual Gone Fishing Men’s Retreat. I like to fish, I have a boat, I could do this! I had a good time, met some new friends, caught some fish, and Jeff Lippert invited me to attend Tuesday morning Bible study. Ok. I’ll go and check it out, once or maybe twice to say I was there. Then I can resume my normal life. Did I mention I caught fish?

What really happened is that I got caught. I continued in the Tuesday Bible study and became really interested. Finally, I actually was eager to go to the Winter Men’s Retreat in Manitowoc. I was totally unprepared for what happened to me at that retreat. I found out I was not alone in the way I felt about life and being a man. God really got hold of my heart and would not let go. He spoke to me very clearly through James 1:19-26. I finally understood I could not exist as a Sunday morning Christian any longer. I had to become involved and listen to the Holy Spirit and do what He told me to do. I can honestly say I am a changed man with the joy of Jesus in my life.

One final thought, I have learned I cannot live as God’s man without worshiping and fellowshipping with other brothers in Christ on a regular basis. I can’t wait until Promise Keepers. I can’t wait until next Tuesday!

Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
Brother Phil Gray

† “I had never been in any type of Bible study before and was uncertain about what to expect. The Tuesday morning men’s study has allowed me to understand a lot more than I did in a comfortable no-pressure setting. It has also connected me with a group of great guys.”
