Seth Flick was born and raised in Southern WI (Racine) so he loves the Crew, the Packers, the Bucks, Admirals, brats, and cheese curds! After participating in a mission trip to build a church in Juarez, Mexico, he felt compelled to the ministry. He completed undergraduate work at Concordia University-WI in 2003 Majoring in Pastoral Ministry with a Minor in Theological Languages. It was at Concordia WI where he met the absolute love of his life, Melinda. He is as much in love with her today as he was then (and even more)! They were married in 2003.

He began his Seminary studies in 2004 and completed his Masters of Divinity in 2011 from Concordia Seminary-St. Louis, MO. During that time, he and his wife assisted in planting a church in downtown St. Louis. He also worked full time at Concordia Seminary working for the Vicarage Office as well as the Distance Education Office administrating The Ethnic Immigrant Institute of Theology and Specific Ministry Pastor Program. In 2011 he received his first Call to serve at Immanuel Lutheran Church and School as their Pastor of Outreach and Mission until 2015 where he received a Call to serve as DR’s Pastor of Discipleship. Seth is currently LOVING his Call to serve Jesus at DR as Executive Pastor which began in 2021.

He has worked on district and circuit levels as a speaker for several church worker conferences. He was blessed to be the keynote speaker for The Canadian Association of Lutheran Church’s Synod Convention in 2017. He’s had the opportunity to be a guest instructor at Concordia Lutheran Seminary in Haiti and The Canadian Lutheran Bible Institute with a current adjunct professor position at The Institute of Lutheran Theology.

Those opportunities are all wonderful, but nowhere near Seth’s passion to love and serve his family. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Melinda, and boys: Noah, Micah, Elijah, Judah, and Luca. They hang out at home, wrestle, hunt, sometimes play video games and enjoy a good movie together! When Seth’s not at DR or home, he’s hunting, running, biking and swimming around Lake Country.

Seth is excited to see what Jesus is doing in your life and what DR can do to help you know Jesus, grow in your faith, and go with Jesus on mission in this world who desperately needs Him!
