Bio: Mrs. Janet Bahr is a recent new principal to Divine Redeemer Lutheran School. However, she has been a long time alumni parent and much involved member of the church. Mrs. Bahr and her husband, David, have been involved in church services and Bible studies and both of their now adult children, Tim and Lindsey, both attended Divine Redeemer Lutheran School. Janet started her teaching career at a grade school in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She went on to teach high school math and physical education, coached volleyball and worked in a resource center. Prior to coming to Divine Redeemer as its new principal, Janet (affectionately known as "J. Bahr"), worked at Lake Country Lutheran High School as its athletic director, volleyball coach, and as the assistant principal. Two of Janet's LCL high school volleyball teams actually won State and her other teams of all been very successful! Janet, in fact, was one of three coach finalists honored by the Journal Sentinel as Coach of the Year. Her passion for coaching volleyball continues as she remains LCL's varsity volleyball coach. In 2019, Janet received the Call by Divine Redeemer Lutheran School and was offered the position of school principal. Janet accepted this call and DR has been blessed with her incredible positive attitude, strong faith, compassion for education and God's children, and her high energy level!
