Exciting News - Small Groups begin again this Fall!Divine Redeemer is growing as a church and a school!  For some churches and schools, it means you lose knowing people in this community.  This is not something your leadership team wants to lose!  How can we keep community here?  Small groups!  This Fall, we are excited to re-emphasize small group ministry with the core being a Bible Study curriculum. The small groups will be starting with the "Rooted" Curriculum the week of September 12th.  We would love for everyone to have an opportunity to experience the unique ministry that occurs within small groups. What is Rooted? We are using the Lutheran edition of "Rooted" that has the tagline "Connect with God, the Church, and Your Purpose". There are 7 Rhythms of Rooted and by rooting ourselves in God's Word and His truths, we have a firm foundation from which we love the world. It is a 10-week small study that follows a book and has homework in between. There are three group experiences that include serving, praying, and sharing. Books for this study are available for purchase for $15 and can be purchased at this website.  Can you lead a small group?Right now, we are looking for volunteers to lead the small group Bible studies. If interested, please email smallgroups@drlc.org.  What you can expect is that our dedicated Small Group Coordinator will connect with you regarding your group, the Curriculum, leading materials (each leader will get a Rooted Facilitator Guide), and any questions you have. You can lead any day/time of the week either at your home or at Divine Redeemer.  Small groups usually last 1-1.5 hours.  You can set a group limit and even identify the type of group you are looking to host (young families, empty nesters, anyone, etc). How can I join a small group?Look for small group sign-ups in late August. There will be online sign-ups where you can pick and choose a type of group and day/time that works best for you and paper signups in church one weekend TBD.  Small groups will begin the week of September 12th.
