Weekly Verse: "He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” And Jesus said to him, “You go, and do likewise.” Luke 10:37

Sermons this Sunday: Love Where You Live - "Love Your Neighbor"

DR Family & Friends,
We come to you this week with heavy hearts. As some of you may know, Brent Adler, husband of Denise Adler our 5K teacher, unexpectedly passed away this week.  He is a man who is loved by Jesus and a man who loves Jesus very much.  However, even with the echoes of the Easter resurrection so close to us, the reality of death and the pain it causes is still real.  Brent will be missed by many within our church, school and community.  Your DR ministry team is here for you. If you need to pray or talk, please reach out to us.  As a community in Christ, we now have a calling to help Denise and her family, so please pray for them and when the time comes to help, we’ll definitely let you know opportunities to come in the near future.  Funeral arrangements to affirm Christ’s love for Brent will take place at Divine Redeemer on Saturday, April 27th. Visitation will be 10am-1pm and the service at 1pm.

God's Peace,
Pastor Seth

PHOTO OF THE WEEK

Caught this photo on Wednesday of Mr. Kleba sitting down for lunch and the students ran to sit by him. It just goes to show what an amazing teacher he is and what an immense impact he has had on generations of students.  We are thankful for the way he has impacted God's kingdom and today you will find the save the date to his retirement party below.

SERMON SERIES

About the Sermon Series: We all live somewhere. We all have neighbors and a neighborhood—whether we live in a rural, suburban, or urban context. So, does God have an opinion about how we should relate to the people and places right around us? As it turns out, He does. Join us in our new sermon series called "Love Where You Live" as we learn about a theology of work and how that Godly work affects our relationships with our neighbors and neighborhood.

Week 2 Sermon: Be Zealous and Do Good

FREE ESTATE COACHING - ACT FAST (30 Sessions Available)

The Divine Redeemer Endowment Ministry Fund is offering FREE Estate/Will Planning Services. Appointments are limited, so reserve your spot today! (This program is funded in part by a grant from the Lutheran Legacy Foundation.)  Divine Redeemer has partnered with Craig Mellendorf, CEO of SFC Estate Coaching, to provide families with a free and confidential estate planning service. Through this service, families/individuals will receive education and coaching on estate planning, with the goal of becoming "Attorney Ready" and ultimately executing a will/estate plan with the assistance of an attorney.

The initial meeting lasts one hour, with a follow-up session taking between 30-45 minutes. Additionally, the coaching plan is available virtually for those who prefer to participate from the comfort of their own home. This service is a wonderful opportunity for you to become "attorney ready" in your estate planning, at no cost to you! You can schedule:
ONLINE
IN PERSON: Currently dates are May 2nd, but more will be scheduled in future

To take advantage of the complimentary Estate Planning Sessions, please click here and follow the instructions: drlc.org/estate

Heart behind the offer: The DR Endowment Ministry team knows that finances and the busyness of life can get in the way of us being the best Biblical stewards of the resources entrusted to us. By making this offer available to you, they clear the way for you to pray about and thoughtfully plan for what God has entrusted to you, both for today and for eternity. And there is no catch. You will not be "sold" anything or pressured to approach your plan in any way. All choices will be yours.

Construction Corner

ECDC Construction
BORING is not boring!  Boring (also referred to as horizontal directional drilling, is a minimal impact trenchless method of installing underground utilities such as pipe, conduit, or cables in a relatively shallow arc or radius along a prescribed underground path using a surface-launched drilling rig) has begun under HWY 16! The first pass through was successful, which is HUGE! There are also windows on the building and the roof is coming along.
